Tim, I searched this on snopes and couldn't find anything. With the way it is written, I would almost promise you it is false. They writing style sounds like one of those chain letters.

Something came across to me in an email...I have no idea if there's any truth to any of it or not...just figure I would throw it out here for discussion, see what anyone here knows.
1. Mormon policy is that there must be a temple built within a mile of every public high school in America. This policy has actually been implemented successfully in Utah, Arizona, Idaho, Montana, Washington, Oregon and is almost complete in Nevada.
2. Mormon parents must seek school board appointment in an effort to enact policies that support the goals of the Mormon church. For example -time away from class as well as class credit for their highschool age children to attend Temple classes during the school day. This policy has been very successful in Arizona. Even at my kids school- which has low Mormon enrollment- the kids are allowed to use first period for temple class- and the temple is just across the street from the high school. This policy allows Mormon’s to use the tax payer provided public school system to their advantage.
3. Mormon’s are strongly encouraged if not required to serve in public office- again in an effort to influence public policy decisions that benefit the Mormon values and goals.
4. Utah has the greatest concentration of Mormons in the country- second is Arizona. Utah has the highest per capita suicide rate in the country- most suicides accomplished with a gun.
5. Mormon’s are required to tithe 10%- and this is checked against pay stubs by the bishop of the stake. (Ward is a parish, a “stake” is a diocese- they took catholic organizational ideas when developing the organization of the Mormon church). If they do not show pay stubs to check their tithing they can be excommunicated.
6. The Mormon’s are very focused on developing networks- they hire only Mormons when they are in a position to hire, they trade amongst themselves including homes-and they have their own financing network. They offer low interest or interest free mortgages to members, also they subsidize college tuition for members going to Brigham Young Univ.
7. Much of the Super Pac money supporting Romney is coming from the Mormon church. The Mormon “church” is a cult, and a very, very clever one. Most of the male members of the church are encouraged to pursue higher educational degrees and public policy positions.
If you elect a Mormon to President you can be assured that the Mormon church’s power, size and influence will grow exponentially.

Yikes...
I smell the false ramblings of a fear monger here, whomever wrote this...one of those folks that takes the truth and twists it enough to make it sound scary.
I don't really think Mormons are a cult...
I just cannot vote for a mormon. I cant vote for a newt either. Guess I will vote for Obama.![]()
The only thing I know, or at least I THINK I know about Morman's is, they travel in two's on ten-speed bikes and they always wears ties.
From what few times I've had them knock on my front door they seemed like nice people. Then too, I can get along with anyone, at least for a short time anyway.
Chubminnow, here is the phone number of a "Chat Line" where you can speak with a Latter Day Saints (Mormon) missionary. Ask him about all this twisted political propaganda and then you will know more about Mormon practices.

I am not of the Mormon faith and I don't think any POTUS will be able to influence this country through their religious beliefs, or lack thereof.

I've seen lots of Mormons going through neighborhoods and have NEVER seen them riding bikes nor wearing neckties. The only common thing I've seen among them is that they wear black pants and white shirts and hand out booklets to try and prosetylize. They don't have the pleasure of volunteering, door-to-door recruitment is a requirement.
We have Mormons here in our small community and I have never known any of them run for a government office. Also I see the young men walk through the neighborhoods with the white shirt black pants and a black back pack. I thought they wore a black tie but I might be wrong.
On a side note I did have two young Mormons knock on the door and asked to come in and talk to me I invited them in and they sat on the couch in the living room and never said anything I finally asked them what they wanted and they said they didn't know because they had never got this far.
While driving home from work I was rethinking what I wrote...maybe it's the Jehovah's Witness folks I see traveling in two's, riding ten speed bikes, wearing ties, etc...
Bwahahaha...you should have offered them a beer, maybe that would have helped break the ice...after all, beer is the golden nectar of the God's ain't it?On a side note I did have two young Mormons knock on the door and asked to come in and talk to me I invited them in and they sat on the couch in the living room and never said anything I finally asked them what they wanted and they said they didn't know because they had never got this far.
I would vote for Marie Osmond, I would also let her im my house.
