Oil Futures are at 78.20............but gas is still hovering around 3.50........

I guess BUSH is to blame.

I really don't understand how the future price can be 1/2 what it was 4 years ago YET gas prices are nearly DOUBLE what it was 4 years ago.

    AMAZING.

    Simply AMAZING.

Time to vote them all out.........and instill a 4 year term limit.

BTW, Geo, you started this thread by recommending solutions that all would have to be Governmental mandates to enact.

My list of mandates done effect PERSONAL freedom or free markets........and my list of mandates, do what every red blooded American should want.......less government.

Except for the second one.......I guess I could live with lobbyists if the other 3 are done deals.

But hey, that is just me.

Agreed, and curious, how do you do those worthy goals without passing a law to prohit it? Curious, connect the dots here. How do ya get to where you want to go without givernment involved to make that law?

Come still further south and you can buy gas for $2.83 to $2.99. News reports are saying we have a tropical storm in the Gulf that will probably become a hurricane. Employees have already left the oil wells and refineries but the news tells us that this will not impact the price of gas.

And doing all that is going to bring down the price of gas? Of course it's not Bush'e fault, but it's sure not Obama's, either. This problem has been around since long before he came into office, and it will be there long after he's gone.

Go ahead, blame the Democrats for high gas prices. I'll remember this after the Republicans take over.
