I guess I wasnt clear.......I don't agree with the silly poll. Stats and polls are useless anyone dare I say everyone on here knows that a poll or stat can be found to boost ones opinion. All I'm saying is that it's needless. You think I support Hal Rogers?? I could give a squat about him or the GOP or the Dems. I don't like either one to be honest. This election is just another case of choosing the lessor of two evils and since obama is the most evil ill vote against him. Kinda like how he was voted in before. People wanted a change from the GOP so they voted against them. If we had a third party to choose from we would have real potential on changing the way we do business in America. We are held to choosing between two parties who are getting harder and harder to tell apart. You lumping me into some catagory of caring about a bottom feeder like Rogers is silly. Now if you had tossed around some new dirt on Romney or Ryan and it was worthy it might have meant more to me.
Its like me saying Chandler was chosen most likely to get voted in because of his crooked family connections and i read it in the Conservative Daily......Who cares.

I see this post as if I had written it, except for your pick of the two evils. and the 3rd party would be wonderful. I know you said you don't like polls, some times they are interesting, like this one where they did a poll on people, that don't ever vote. and the number of none voters, outnumbered both registered Republicans and Democrats combined. so there's room for a serious third party.

The main reason I posted that I hated renaming the road was I hate renaming roads after living politicians, or naming roads after them in the first place. We should reserve that honor for someone whose legacy is indisputable. That's why I say renaming that road from the Daniel Boone Parkway to the Hal Rogers Parkway was absurd.

I agree with this 100%. I'm old school on alot of things and these days its not a popular stance. For example, another thing I think "waters down" actions/gifts of respect is the use of the word "Hero" or "role model". I think those terms should be earned not just given as loosely as they seem to be tossed around.

Neither does just doing what a person is supposed to do. That's what gets me, seeing people called heroes who only did what they SHOULD have done in a situation, like if they came across somebody who was hurt and helped them. I mean, I can understand how a person whose life was saved might think of them as their hero, but I don't think the rest of us need to call them that. Think of it, what was the other choice? To turn and walk away and leave the person there? What kind of person does that? And the problem with calling people who make the right choice "heroes" is that we make an excuse for other people not to. They can tell themselves, "I'm not that special, I'm not gonna be a hero, I"m not gonna get involved..."
