Global Warming scientists stranded by ........ICE

Imagine that.........a group of scientists headed to the antarctic to measure melting ice have been listening to the the WRONG scientists.......

Even though there is satellite proof that ice is thicker than has ever been recorded, and there is 60% more ice than 20 years ago, these ASS HAT fools still went on their expedition.

Now they are at risk of dying due to their research vessel being stuck in 15ft of sea ice. Multiple attempts have been made to rescue them, and it now looks like a Russian helicopter will have to be used.

No, it is quite simple, and EXACTLY what I've been saying all along. Weather ebbs and flows in cycles. WHEN the IDIOTS out there stop trying to make money off those cycles by scaring YOU, maybe we will get somewhere.

Yea, the polar and antarctic ice caps are melting. They have melted and frozen for about 10 or 20 thousand years. It is part of the Cycle.

It is quite amazing that you associate gubment conspiracies along with this.........you're right, there is NO TELLING what the Obamunists will do to further their agenda. I would like to say that I believe the planet is warming, I doubt man can control that, I do believe we can add to the problem in a small way, I do not believe we can stop/reverse it, I also believe those who seem to attempt to deny it (add whatever names you want here, you might even include yours from reading your original post) and yes I believe it goes in cycles which likely has a major effect on life here and the extinction of it which has historically permitted new varieties of life to evolve.

Well, not sure how anybody can deny the statistics.... I do believe people will use anything to their advantage, I believe there are people who would sacrifice his/her own grandmother for their own personal gain and sacrificing the planet would be no problem to them... I believe some of the 'green idiots' have made a fortune selling BS but it does seem data suggest changing climate is real, not sure how folks can look at the data and call the whole thing bogus.

I do believe people will use anything to their advantage, I believe there are people who would sacrifice his/her own grandmother for their own personal gain and sacrificing the planet would be no problem to them... I believe some of the 'green idiots' have made a fortune selling BS but it does seem data suggest changing climate is real, not sure how folks can look at the data and call the whole thing bogus.

Hasnt there been case after case of skewed data by so called scientists in the media? I really stopped looking at anything that is supposed to be concrete data because of this......one report can debunk another one.

I always questioned why scientists are so confident that this isn't a cyclic weather condition. I have been told it's because of data from samples from snow or ice or drillings that prove global warming. Again, when I see a multi billion dollar industry racked with political corruption i do question anything that they say. Look at the things that happens because of this so called crises. Coal industry is in the crosshairs of Obama and destroying families and I suspect his supportive greenies could care less as long as they get what they want. Billions of tax dollars sent to start up company's that are supposed to be cutting edge greenie type energy...solyndra being one.....at a time in this country when we spend more than we collect in taxes. Yet it seems to be ok because of Global Warming which was changed to Climate Change. Wonder why that was changed?? Maybe because it's hard to get support for a political special interest group tied to a term like Global Warming when it's freezing?!?!? Maybe??? Stats that show coldest times in recent history but greenies want money because of global warming? People don't jump on board that easy with that term. See what I mean?? Self serving groups and political idiots doing exactly what you agree can happen. Sell their soul to get what they want.

Im not sold on it as being a multi billion dollar emergency. I'm all for cleaner air or alternative sources of energy or becoming less dependent on others for our energy but that's pretty much where I stop because the end doesn't justify the means. Instead of true effort to so some of this we have to have greenies (mostly liberals) target the coal industry, oil drilling off shore, SUVs and on and on. If our political leaders and the Al Gores of this country really believed the poop they sell they would practice what they preach. Show me a picture or news story of Al Gore not using fossil fuels or jetting around the world in airplanes. Show me where his house is solar powered and and he doesn't vacation in muti million dollar places that leave a huge "carbon footprint". Ain't gonna happen. Fabricated facts to boost their cause of controlling others all in the name on Global Warming that's what I believe.

Am I a skeptic? Yes, because they made me one. I prolly do more to use less energy or a have a less carbon footprint than these crooks. I drive a V6 SUV instead on a V8 I purchased a 4-stoke motor on my last boat and will do so again. Updated my air conditioning and water heater to cleaner or more efficient units when they went bad. I could have gone cheaper on a few specs on these but chose more efficient ones.

That is very well said... We agree on just about all of this issue, I believe Mr. Gore has used this as a cash cow since he first discovered he could do so.... It does seem to me that you believe the climate is changing somewhat yourself.... We differ a little in that I believe we do have a small effect on it, I doubt we can do much to alter that though, I believe we can keep our planet healthier by some of the things you stated as being choices you personally made.

Maybe they should only rescue them if they can find solar powered ships and helicopters instead of those bad ole fossil fuel burners. Or just just wait and collect them when the globe warms enough to get to there.

When my college professor at U of I told me in 1966 we were headed for another Ice age and unless things changed we would not be able to grow corn in Illinois.I do not remember all the numbers but I think he said it only needed to cool down 3 heat degree days and it had dropped so many heat degree days in the last 40 or 50 years and at this rate we would not be able to grow corn in Illinois in the next 50 to 100 years. I assume he was using the statistics available to him at the time. Yes I do believe we had much colder winters then than now however I do not believe you can look at statistics to predict what our temperature is going to be in the next 20 , 50 75 years. I believe we also have statistics that prove we have been cooling for the last 10 years. We also know that some scientist have admitted that they cooked the books to appease the tree huggers so they could continue to get grant money for their research. So I guess I am old enough to say I can deny the statistics.
