Look Closely at the EDITS to the page you posted. It has been edited hundreds of times TODAY.

I think Russians in Crimea are editing the page to make it "look" like they are a majority there.

This page is more legitimate, as the edits which are less that 10 this month, and even less last month include edits ONLY to add Data from UN on Demographics. I trust it more......

I really think it is an accepted fact that Crimea is made up largely of a Russian population, and I will look for other references to post when I have more time. I was just getting ready to play a game with my son so I can't right now.

Also looking at demographics for the entire country of Ukraine really isn't applicable to the point of Crimea.

I see what I did.

You are right.......Crimea is mostly Russian. My demographic link is about Ukraine, which would be mostly Ukrainian.

When I started looking I had read something about how Crimea was predominantly russian due to the 3 large cities in Crimea that are Russian, but that if you looked at the country as a whole it was mostly Ukrainian.

Kind of like if you look at a Map of the United States broken down by county, we are a SOLID Red country, but pockets of democrats in Huge cities make up a significant amount of democrats in the country.....

Europe depends on natural gas from Russia. Putin can cut supplys like happened to us during Carters term, and crete havoc with the EU economics. We have nothing to gain by sticking our noses in there. Do we have military interestd in Europe? We sure do. Europe has dragged us into two world wars, and partially into viet nam. That's because we never apllied the military might to an civil immigration problem. Same reason Abrams tanks don't stop highway speeders.
