Anyone can keep what they want thats why they buy a license it is just immoral to keep a 6lb basz full of eggs in my OPINION. The guy who caught it was proud as a peacock and I can't blame him it was a nice fish. I caught 1 today guarding fry about 15 inches and chucked it back. My problem out there was guys stacking fish over the limit. I'm sure that every licensed fisherman or woman pays for the FINS program in some way. That is what gets me. There was a guy throwing a cast net today out there looking for shad and bluegills to fish with. Does me no good to call last time I did warden never showed it was a sheriff's deputy and it took him over an hour.

It may be considered to not be a good policy to keep a egg laden Bass ... if we're talking about a lake or some body of water that's considered a good fishery ... but, Jacobson is no mecca for any species of fish, nor for any numbers of large fish. That being the case, I see no problem with taking ANY legal fish from there.

I do, however, see a problem with taking more than the established limit ... regardless of species. And I can't tell you how many times I've been there & seen that happen. I've even had people BRAG about it, to me. So much so, and so often, that I don't even bother to go there, anymore ... even though it's <5mins away.

Oh and some of you should re-read this thread, not one single person on this thread slammed anybody for keeping within the law they only stated what ''THEY'' do as a topic of conversation. There are some on this site that need to get that chip off their shoulder, banter back and forth should be just that. Too many estragen emotions on here lately, good Lord fellas take it down a notch.

I'll take it one step farther I think there are too many tournaments on ''some'' lakes period. Guist creek comes to mind and a few other small impoundments. Dude I won't get into a pissing match with you because quite frankly I don't give a Chit what you think about me. I have an opinion and if you don't like it kiss my as s.

APB doesn't **** at anything as far as I'm concerned and we know exactly when to let Stripers go and when we can't. I've been fsihing Cumberland for a very long time and fully understand the mortality rates and water temps that effect the Rockfish. Carrying a bass in a bag and swinging it around fifty times in 90 degree heat is a lame comparison.

To me length is the best way to measure a bass. Weight fluctuates in the seasons for bass. The CPR method the kayakers use or something similar is better.
