Give me ONE GOOD reason not to build this pipeline. If we build it it can also move the shale oil from Nebraska and get it off the rail roads.
Good post but they can't answer you and if they do they will just repeat what their King has said. They get on us about watching FOX news but they quote verbatim what their idol says all the time. Obama has to please the leftist evironmental tree huggers and his Saudi buddies therefore he wants this pipeline dead.

I guess you Obama worshippers like paying 4 dollars a gallon for gas, anything for your King.

Hmmm... Not exactly sure if you believe the oil coming through a pipeline across the us will be cheaper than oil coming from another source or how you could believe that... Oil is a set price going to refineries I believe as the price is posted daily... More oil through this pipeline, less oil from some other source, I suspect refineries have an amount of crude they need for their demand daily and whether or not it comes through a pipeline or transported by ship it is the same price and volume or do you believe oil through the pipeline wont be subject to the daily price of crude on the world market... I suspect there are a good many from the right here who aren't living in right wing lala land and can apply common sense to the issue, this pipeline will do nothing for this country in as far as the amount of oil available to the us, the only benefit it will give the us is in the jobs it creates and that weighed against the liabilities of the thing is the only consideration need be shone to it... Canada's oil will be on the world market in the same quantities and price regardless of how it gets to that market..

Sorry but you are misinformed the price of Canadian oil is much cheaper than any other oil. The price you see quoted is for a sweet crude I have an oil well and i do not get that price for my oil because it is a heavy crude all oil purchased is bench marked against this sweet crude but is discounted from that price depending on the quality of the crude. The crude from Canada is cheap because it is very hard to refine so there are trade offs. Now that we have that corrected and if you would read my post what I am saying is I want to buy Canadian oil as they do not support terrorism and I ask you to give me one GOOD REASON not to buy from someone who likes us??? Also the price of oil is one thing the transportation price is a different price when we buy oil this price is not the delivered price and it is much cheaper to transport from Canada and Nebraska by pipeline than from the Mid East by ship. or from Nebraska or Canada by rail. It is a much safer way to transport than any other option.

I remember when they put in the trans Alaska pipeline the tree huggers were scared to death that all the male Caribou would be on one side of the pipe and the females on another and we would not have anymore Caribou how ever they found that the Caribou love the pipeline.

so pass it and build it

Not everyone will be happy no matter which way we turn. We have several northern refineries that have been ada[ted to canadian crude. Will it mean more jobs? certainly for some for awhile. will all of us gain from it? doubtful. NO MATTER WHAT THE PRICE OF CRUDE IS, WE WILL ALWAYS BE "OVER THE BARREL.

I understand what you are saying but I just doubt we would have a better supply of the finished product, namely fuel for our needs, at a cheaper price regardless of where the oil came from... The pipeline simply will not increase the amount of oil on the world market, canada will market their oil whether or not the pipeline crosses the us..

If not building this pipeline would stop the oil from getting on the market it would be a different story but from what I understand that is not the case and I assume the canadian oil will be the same price regardless of how it gets to that market..... It seems the only benefit to the us is whatever jobs is created by it..

Dude, just drop it. You argue with folks just to argue.......America is better off with a reliable and CHEAP supply of energy. Until something is better than OIL, OIL will rule king.

Be happy for the 50% drop in the cost of energy and the deliver of goods. Hopefully it "trickles" down to all products died to oil and delivery.....

    Later,

No you do not have a clue of what I am saying. I will type this real slow so you can maybe understand. We have a refinery in my home town of Robinson IL they are buying and refining Canadian crude because IT IS MUCH CHEAPER!!!!!

THEY WILL HAVE THE CRUDE BY PIPELINE IF THEY WILL BUILD IT. THIS IS WHAT THEY ARE HOPING WILL HAPPEN.

LAST BUT MOST IMPORTANT I WANT TO BUY OIL FROM SOMEONE WHO IS NOT TRYING TO KILL US.
