Agree... and oil company profits thru the roof. Govt supported gouging to motivate go- green ?

Second thought. US producing as much as ever but other world sources produce lee/ Ukraine war disruptions. World market price rise so US makers export more at higher profit then selling domestically at lower price and earning less.

My solution, slow exports and isolate our needs from the world.

And greed by the oil and gas companies is the problem. Biden should take them over using the war powers production act and make them lower the price of a gallon of gas back to $2.00/gal

That I agree with, the root cause is the manufacturer failing to comply with govt standards and I sure wish the press would simply state the clear facts as you just did.

The plant was a mess and was shipping out contaminated baby food. Also, the business model of the USA caused a lack of competition and left ABBOT as one of the only and major suppliers of baby formula. This is what caused the lack of baby formula. It was either feed your baby contaminated baby formula or no formula at all for a few days. This was All Abbots fault.

I don't know why we don't use Anti-Monopoly laws more. Abbott and 2 other manufacturers, purchased EVERYONE in the segment...........That , inherently is a bad idea, and allows anti-competitive behaviors .....

And I agree Abbott is at fault....but gubment inspectors and regulators should have had a better grasp of this issue, without shutting the universe down and causing the problem.

Food Inspectors are a JOKE.
