July 3, 2008 Walleye fishing is fair with fish being picked up on the rock piles and the deeper flats in hte evenings by anglers dragging leeches. Bass fishing is good. Cast the weed edges with soft plastics, spinnerbaits or buzzbaits. Bass are also being picked up along the dam face casting crankbaits or soft plastics. Bigger bass are being caught over the rock piles. Crappie fishing is good but you have to target them deep. Look for crappies in the deeper standing timber of the entrance to the no motor zone or in the trees of the East Bay. For best results use mini mites or minnows.
