We really can't use the 1st weekend and stay at Horse Creek. I can't make it the 3rd, it's too close to Christmas....
Waiting on Jim to chime in..

for someone looking to get into F-n-F and has no idea what you all are talking about, could anyone possibly be able to bring it down a notch or two from over my head, so i may understand. haha. just a general information post would be appreciated, that is of course if it is for the general public of members on this board. anyways thanks.
thanks for the reply, the tackle and technique is something i completely understand. its just i haven't done it, and what was hoping for was a little bit more of an explanation about this get together... not the method of fishing. thanks again though. i beleive fishbum took care of that in a new thread anyways. but are these things open to anyone?
Yes man they are open to anyone--Do try to go it is alot of fun me and wormin went last year don,t know about this year yet--Great bunch of guys and they know alot about the fnf fishing--get R done
Yep open to ANYONE...They're a lot of fun. We'll have you tying flies in no time.

I would have the proper equipment by then, but i wouldn't have a boat, is there open spots in boats? what would you all suggest as far as that goes?
By the time it gets here we'll have you hooked up. There's a couple of places close that I ususally go before we head to Dale to dust the cobwebs off "Green Teeth and Big Molly"(My F-n-F rods)..LOL!!!!
I ususally start at the 1st of November when the water temps fall down into the mid 50's. The creek temps go up and down so fast it gives you a few opportunities to catch some fish on the fly while the bigger lakes acclimate.

That sounds great Billy, consider me ready and waiting. Between now and then like i said i will be getting some equipment. I'm sure one of the reels that i already have that wouldn't use in the winter would be fine.. a 2500 shimao... loaded with 6lb mono? and im looking right now at a 9ft B&M f-n-f rod with the TN handle... or maybe the 8ft with the balnace system in the back... possibly a BPS rod? any suggestions on the rods would be appreciated.
B and M is junk......
well i appreciate the warning on that then... what do you suggest, what does anyone suggest as far as the rod goes?
