smallmouth on barren

I catch them off the steep rock bluffs with a blueFox single rod spinner bait or a crank with quick pull !!!

Bluefox spinner, is that a little in line spinner? years ago we would catch the fire out of them , on the creeks with rooster tail spinner. It seen like the chartreuse with orange spot done the best.

As soon as the water gets deep enough to run up beaver creek work the channels. the Hybrids will have chased down alot of the bait fish by this time but with the crawfish in the rocks looking for warmer water there are KYs and smallies, I found it is easier to fish paralel to the shore when you find what depth they are hanging at and use crawfish colors.

i had ben going to barren since i could walk till high school. and never seen or cought a smallmouth. but last year in the fall i cought a couple of good ones and had a 5 to 6 pounder at the boat and it spit my crank back at me before we could get the net. and that was in peter creek up by the bridge.

yea they are about the same size as them, they spin so much better tho! and now you can get them in 2 sizes get the bigger ones! you will love them!

The wife landed a 9 pound channel cat too! great day but be care out there the water is still really low i got stuck 2 times and hit a log comein around hogs back!!!

yell it's be great, by 10:00 had took the old boat out got it timed and ready to go then the boy called and his old car was down in Louisville at a gun show. I like to went nuts going up there to fix that thing on a day like this in Mar.
