Correcting grammar on a message board is bad form. Typically, the person correcting usually makes a grammar mistake or two in their own post. That's all I'm sayin'....Hey Slippedcork, did you THINK before you posted this reply? You said "white MEN are preferred, heck any man is preferred." Since you are married to a teacher, are you married to a man? I won't point out one other 'mistake' but you should get your in-house teacher to proof read your post because you are making him/her look bad.
FYI, teaching is a profession, not a trade.
I didn't correct grammar, I mentioned SPELLING and the guy asked which words, so I told him. ****! I wish he had asked YOU. If you are talking about the way I spelled 'sandpaper,' that IS the correct way and it is not hyphenated nor two separate words. If it had been, it still would have been acceptable because it was only recommended as a board name, something like "Slippedcork."
While we're discussing grammar, is it "bad form" or bad manners? Is it "grammar mistake" or grammatical error?
I shore does thank you for the lesson in bad form manners; I know it ain't easy on you having to learn a lady. My grammar seems a tad under the ropes but y'all know how I meant it. You done gone and went an done worse than what you showed me. THIS IS A GOOD EXAMPLE OF A "BAD GRAMMAR" MISTAKE.
Interpretation: If it's bad manners to correct another person's spelling/grammar on the message board, what have you just done?
Hmmm...I didn't correct your grammar or spelling, so this question leaves me confused. I gave an opinion on whether I think it's a good idea to do so.
Confused? Yes! I only mentioned a couple of incorrectly spelled words. You, on the other hand pointed out that I pointed out. So I just pointed out YOUR own bad manners.
Think about it and get back with me, in about TEN years, and we'll discuss it again.
The reason I was let go was their were budget cuts and 3 teachers that had their rank 2 were cut and 3 teachers were hired that had teachers certificates and the small school district could save money by hiring them. This year those 3 teachers were let go and 3 long term subs were hired in their place. I appreciate the advice and just keep on pluggin'. It just gets frustrating.
