    Re: The End of Time

"Experts touting opinions as facts . . . "-Albert Einstien was one of the first to make this prediction in 1955. I think he may be a pretty creditable expert. It has only been recently that they discovered the Milkyway Blackhole. If what they predict comes true, we won't have to wait up for it, the earthquakes, floods, solar flares, etc will start happening long before December 21st.

Speaking totally from ignorance....I'm sure Albert made many mistakes. You got my interest up, I'm gonna have to look into this.

Is it possible that the "anti-christ" that was written about by the author of revelations was nero and all the things that were in his book were written about his time ...Is it possible that all the gloom and doom is simply the imagination of each generation that reads revelations and interprets it in their own way...

    Re: The End of Time

The way I look at the end of time is when God decides he has had enough of all this fun then it will be over. Not global warming or any black holes or angry aliens from another galaxy will end this world except God. I always remember what Jesus says that only God knows when the end of time is. Ms Bug quoted the correct passage and quoted scriptures which was nice to see. I am not good at that but I go with the meaning. There is nothing us mere mortals can do to predict it or guess or speed it up. It will come when God decides it will and not one minute sooner. I dont worry about it I just have faith.

    Re: The End of Time

Another "end of the world" scenario. Here is my take on it....the Myans were perhaps on of the most wicked groups of people to have walked the earth. Murdering, sacraficing, false god worshipping....I find it hard to believe that the Almighty confided in them the second coming. Just like others have said, only God knows when. It will be funny to watch the people go nuts, like on Y2K. I know I won't be anywhere near a walmart on that night....lol!

Love Walmart! Can't leave there without dropping a Benjamin! You are a science man, huh......honest question here.....what keeps you good? Really curious, since there is no eternal consequence for your actions (Godly justice). Curious as to what you believe. Are you a scientologist? Take care.

Well.....I have never been ask that question.....honest an answer as I can give is the human race has evolved a conscience and each of us has his own scruples as to whats right and wrong ...there are a lot of criminals that do all kinds of terrible things to others and believe as most of you guys do in a supreme being, so I don't believe the religious concept is a controlling factor in the way a person treats his fellow man .....Now I have to ask a question .....Do you believe the so called "atheist" is a bad person because he doesn't believe?

    Re: The End of Time

Not a scientologist or a computer whizz either...hit the wrong button before I got finished with the answer... I don't know what those guys believe but if it has anything to do with a mythical higher power then no ..not one on them either.... I will tell you what I do believe though..... If we all lived by the ten commandants it would be a better world for sure.... Don't misread that to mean I have a faith in anything spiritual, those are just good rules to live by.

The History Channel video points out the same possibility but as a PPROBABILITY. They further explain that the 666 "Sign of the Beast" was the numeolical evuivelent of Nero's name.

The vidio presented 13 differnet entities that predict(ed) the doom and gloom of the end of time but only three of the 13 actaully specifically point to Decebmer 21, 2012. (The Mayans, the Cjhinese I-Ching, and the "Pole Shift" aleignment.)

I agree that according to Biblical Revelations, 12/21/2012 could not be the end of time, mainly because too many of the requirements cited in Revelations could't happen in the ttwo years time remaining.

    Re: The End of Time

In about 7.5 billion years the sun will swell to a red giant and engulf the earth. That will be the final end. Probably can consider several other ends too, such as the end of all life, all human life, etc. The latest scientific estimates are about .5 billion years for humans.

As far as Rich's question, morals are something that evolved with humans. Its how humans are able to interact with each other as social creatures. I've seen many cases of non-religious people doing good and religious people doing bad. Certainly plenty of cases of the reverse. Religion neither helps or hinders people from doing good or evil.

If the earth has been turning in the same direction on its axis for millions of years, what could possibly be the purpose for it to suddenly turn in the opposite direction? Scientists have already discovered that dying stars are sucked into the black hole; they also say that the black hole appears to be a magnetic field. I guess that makes it a type of cemetery for dead stars.

What puzzles me is why people would believe that it has taken tens of millions of years for the sun, earth, and black hole to align for the FIRST time. When God gets ready to bring the world to an end, He won't have to wait for 12-21-2012 or just the right planet alignment before he throws the stars and planets to the ground, rains down fire and brimstone, melts the earth and declares the end of time.

What was the position of the sun, earth, and milky way's black hole when God rained down fire and brimstone on Sodom and Gomorrah and was there a polar shift when it was all over?

You can believe that, on 12-22-2012, the earth will still be turning in the same direction and astrologists, scientists, and alarmists will once again look like a bunch of fools.
