Here BP Goes Again

The underwater robot ran over the deepwell cap and knocked it loose. BP had to remove it and the well is gushing oil, full force, like it was in the beginning. Blame it on the mindless robot and nobody will have to be held accountable.

I think it is time for the US Govt to step in, take full control of the site, and bill all their costs to BP. We all have fun pointing fingers at Uncle Sam on here, but for christmas sakes, this is a great example of how much you can trust big business and purely civilian, industrial, commercial enterprizes to do the right thing at the right time.

If BP was in charge of Katrina Aid, there would still be poeple on their roof tops.

If Uncle Sam handled his nucs the same way BP handles oil sites, we'd all be glowing in the dark, have 12 fingers per hand, and have kids with 6 feet but 5 legs.

I agree our government should step in but it will still be civilians handling the problem. Our government would contract the leak stoppage as well as the clean up. Our president is to busy right now taking care of people who speak their minds which hurts his feelings than worry about it. The way I see it BP should be asking for help from civilian engineers from anywhere they can to stop this disaster.

I think it's not far fetched at all that with "Obamy and the wingnuts" at the helm and their socialistic agenda. They want control and have gubment doing everything for all americans and illegals like countries in Europe. They duped enough americans and bought their way into legislators pockets to get the healthcare bill passed. Got the Unions on their side, GM, Banks and Mortgage Firms.

I can see how they would let us flounder in many ways only to have the big bad gubment come to the rescue. They are spending us into a huge pit that we will be hard pressed to get out of.

Obama has been to more golf courses than Tiger Woods. concerts than Paul McCartney has done this year. It's a shame he's acting like this. He turned away help from 5 countries.

As of last Wednesday, 13 entities had offered assistance with the Gulf oil spill cleanup including Canada, Croatia, France, Germany, Ireland, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Republic of Korea, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United Nations. The list offers came from a State Department email to the press corps. "These offers include experts in various aspects of oil spill impacts, research and technical expertise, booms, chemical oil dispersants, oil pumps, skimmers, and wildlife treatment," the email said. But yesterday, the State Department refused to tell reporters which countries had offered to help,Josh Rogin reports at The Cable.
A lot of these countries are world leaders in the oil industry. You'd think they might have some valuable expertise and state of the art gear to lend the U.S. in its hour of need. Nope. Evidently the Coast Guard has absolutely everything under control and doesn't need anybody's help with anything. The spill is on track to become the largest in human history, but the Coast Guard has it totally covered. Those pesky "other countries" need to butt out while the company that caused the spill figures out how to fix it.

Lots of things in the national news tend to make my blood pressure go up...Anything about Nobama, the Gulf Oil Spill, the Mexican Drug Cartel threatening the Arizona Police Department, etc...There sure does seem to be a lot of bad stuff going on these days that's never had to be dealt with before. Makes me wonder where the world is headed, not just the U.S. but the world. Of course if things were happening that had already happened in the past, then I don't guess it would be called "news".
