    KY lake guides

I know about Dave Stewart, left him a message already. What other bass guides would you guys reccommend? Does each one of them have a certain areas they fish from or they pretty much fish all of KY and Barkley? Thanks.

I personally recommend trying to hook up with Dave for bass fishing, you will learn more in one outing than you can possibly imagine. And what areas of the lake are you looking at? because they do tend to stay in certain areas (not all the time just some of the time) because of the sheer size of the lake.

From all reports Dave is excellent. I would also recommend Craig Hipsher.

Dave is great and couldn't go wrong with going with him. But no offense to Dave, others are great as well. I have learned something from all I have fished with and talked to. I love to fish slow and with a CR as Dave does, but others fish fast and furious and are successful as well. Just saying, many of our guides are good and can teach you a lot. I personally also like Randy K and Keith Brown.

There are a number of good guides down here...but I am wondering, why do you think I only throw C-rigs? I guess I ought to take out all those crankbaits, spinnerbaits, jigs, topwaters and whatever else out of my boat...LOL

Not saying anything negative Dave, but the two times I fished with you we used mostly CR on the ledges. And I'm glad we did, I learned a lot and love to fish it.

that was probably due more to the location of the fish at the time

i have only been out with Dave on KY Lake, so that is the only one i can recommend. only threw a CR when I begged him to teach me that technique since I did not have confidence i should. he taught me, we caught a few, and then we went back to the techniques that were really putting them in the boat. we had over 100 fish day in 8 hour trip. look forward to Nov. 5th to learn some more with Dave. anyways good luck finding a guide and be careful out there!

I realized that, just emphasizing that we used it mostly and that Dave has a lot of patience. I should have put a LOL at the end of the quote.

Glad you learned something you could use afterwards. If we were doing a ledge teaching trip, I always keep you on a C-rig...it is your search bait for ledges....if we were out there just fun fishing or tournament prep, I had you on a C-rig because that was the best technique to catch fish at the time.
