Don't know the name but twice through the hookeye--creates a double loop--five times around the line that goes to the rod and back through both loops on the hook eye. Then it is then a good idea to hold the hook and the short (tab) end of the knott pliers (2 pair of pliers needed) and snug up the knott a little, this gets a little of the "air out of the knott. Used all summer and neve rhad one break.
Pomar knott probably easier and maybe better but there are times when using swivels and leaders etc that makes tying a Polbar more difficult.
