Nothing like you folks have. We also have the right to bear arms as part of our constitution but we also have rules that govern who should be allowed to own them and mental health cases, anyone on anti depressents and certain medications and criminals cant ever get a permit to own one. But God forbid you folks should ever have to abide by any rules. You should be allowed to do whatever you want right Parker. You are so right Parker about one thing. Thank God I live here in Canada!!

So what is Zimmerman going to be charged with....the STAND your ground law allowed him to shoot Martin, IF Martin was kicking his butt......
BUT, and a BIG BUT......is the Stand your Ground statute has some ambiguous wording about instigation. If they determine that Zimmerman instigated the confrontation, then I believe Zimmerman may be spending some quality time behind bars.
I personally believe he instigated the contact, got in over his head, GOT his ASS whipped, and then killed someone.......
It is hard to tell though. Very tough determining what really happened, and we may never know.

I think the, stand your ground law. is a good one and should be Nation wide. but the 911 call tells who was at fault here, if an unarmed man is walking away from you, I don't see where you are in any danger. no threat there. Zimmerman kept following the guy and that's what caused the whole thing, if only he would have listen to the operator's warning, don't follow the guy. the kid would still be alive. and Zimmerman could still be playing neighborhood lawman. it's sad this had to happen, but what ever happens to Zimmerman, he asked for it.

Who knows the truth, but I thought I read where Zimmerman claims once 911 told him not to follow he stopped.
As far as self defense and stand your ground wouldn't the young man have the right to beat up someone coming at him with a gun? Kind the chicken and the egg thing, Trayvon Martin sees some man coming towards him with a gun it is understandable he might jump on him and beat him feeling his life was in danger. Zimmerman gets jumped by a suspicious character who start beating him so he shoots to defend himself.
This case really is a sad tragic mess. I hope a jury can sort through it all and the truth is revealed.

From what I've read, and who KNOWS if it is true.
* He stopped following him when told. I actually think he was OUT of his truck at this time and headed back to his truck.
* Martin jumped him from behind......according to Zimmerman and eye witness accounts.
* Martin pummeled him. Bashing his head into the ground. According to grass stains on Zimmermans back and Zimmermans account.
* The gun, which was still secured THEN came into play. NO idea how.
* Martin tells Zimmerman he's going to die.........Maybe Martin saw the gun, maybe Zimmerman pulled the gun.
* A shot is fired........Martin is DEAD.
If that is even CLOSE to what happened the arrest is unjust, and the MEDIA biased towards Zimmerman will lead to some serious multi million dollar lawsuits when Zimmerman is acquitted.....
Bottom line.........Someone is going to to get rich. Hell, Martin's "grieving" parents have already trademarked his name and have appeared PAID on numerous programs......

NBC sure owes Zimmerman an apology. Producer altered the 911 tape and by doing so made it sound like it was racially motivated.

Or he’s on drugs or something. It’s raining and he’s just walking around, looking about.” Then the dispatcher asked, “O.K., and this guy — is he white, black or Hispanic?” Only then did Mr. Zimmerman say, “He looks black.”

Fired?? He should be sued by zimmerman as well as NBC and that person should be arrested for his wrong doing. NBC said it was a mistake?!?!? Really??? After all the play and damage that tape has done and it was a mistake? Good gosh. I wonder how many people have tried to harm this man because of that tape? Zimmerman needs to go through the legal system for his actions but NBC should pay for their careless use and manipulation of information.
