Very Simple Question about Obama

I'm not looking to start a name calling thread or Pubs verses Dems, or look what Reagan, Clinton or Kennedy or anyone else did or anything else...but why on earth does Obama continue to make stupid decisions and approve things that the MAJORITY of United States citzens are against?

His latest stupid decision is his approval of building that Mosque near ground zero in New York. C'mon Obama, Puh-leeeeze! What are you thinking? What are your intentions for this country? What do you expect to gain from this? An overwelmingly VAST majority of American citizens are against this but you approve it? Same thing with Arizona's immigration law, the majority of citizens are against the law but since you're driving the bus you do as you please REGARDLESS of what anyone desires.

Yes, we're supposed to be a free country and I believe that as of today we're still free. I also know that in God's eye's we're supposed to love one another and forgive our trespasses and everything else. But....how many people were killed that day on September 11th, 2001? And...for the record...the start of "successful" attacks on America did not start with the Twin Towers...to the best of my knowledge the attacks on America started on November 4th, 1979 when Iran raided the U.S. Embassy and held Americans hostage for over two years.

This has turned into kind of a rant on my part...guess I can't help it sometimes....but back to the original question; "Why does Obama continue to make decisions that the majority of American Citizens are against?"

By the way, the answer to your question is very simple, in my opinion, he is trying to destroy America and our free way of life. What he wants to change it/us to is open to question. It is obvious to me that he and the Liberals just do not care what the majority of Americans want or think.

Now I am depressed, is he so much a civil rights lawyer type that he cant see the whole picture and what this represent? Is he so naive and wear rose coloured glasses that he cant see the symbolic nature of this mosque. I see it as a victory for the terrorists and for the Muslims who support them. Now you have a new meeting place for terrorists to organize and celebrate the Sept 11th 2001 attacks.

If 1 or 2 of his silly ass ideas make it through, and get approved by congress, the senate, and the supreme court, then they have been SUCCESSFUL in moving us more towards their idea of what is "right".

Personally, they have done EXACTLY as I thought they would. You beat down your opponent until your opponent says SCREW it......I don't care anymore.

How many of your friends on the right are SICK of it and don't care. As the left continues to beat you down, they slowly erode the CONSERVATIVE ideas and change this country.

I'm no longer calling them Liberals...........they are LEFTISTS. I have some good friends who are liberals that now HATE Obama. Obama is a LEFTIST, a SOCIALIST, close to a MARXIST, and would LOVE being compared to Stalin, but he is NOT a liberal.

Just as I'm not a REPUBLICAN.......I now consider myself a conservative. Most republicans don't have ANY IDEA what the HELL conservative means.

People support what they believe in and Obama is no different. I honestly think that building the mosque is a project that is dear to his heart. I read that it would be built with private funds but I believe it will be funded either with some type of government grant for minorities, or money that has been laundered.

My first thought was, "Obama is building his own house of worship." We shall see.

I don't know if anyone else noticed it but when he was first elected, he and Michelle went to several middle eastern countries and attended many meetings with dignitaries. Every meeting was with Muslim leaders. There was not one visit nor meeting with people who were not of the Muslim faith. I believe those same leaders are a part of the crap that is being pushed to build the mosque at Ground Zero and wouldn't be surprised that there is a lot of money laundering going on. jmo

Bug. I agree and yes I noticed his first foreign trips were with Muslim leaders. What I don't understand is that now he is so blatently supportive of his Muslim heritage, why he ever went to a "Christian" church to begin with.

You talk about money changing hands, Fox News reported that there are two Christian churches near ground zero that were destroyed that have not yet received approval to rebuild their churches ON THE LAND THAT THEY OWNED TO BEGIN WITH yet the Muslims which just pruchase their land have already received approval to build thier Mosque. For that matter, permission has not even been given to build on the original Twin Towers sites. Something is rotten in New York.

It seems you are saying that a majority of the country disagree with the actual law... but the opposite is true... a majority of americans supported this law and opposed the supreme courts volation of the 10th ammendment in oevrturning parts of the law...

Clarification is; "The last I heard on the news was that most of the American people in this country are in agreement with Arizona's law of checking green cards, etc..." This is what I mean...I guess when I started this thread and began writing it caused my blood pressure to go up with each sentence and I may have got a little carried away.

I HAVE SAID AND WILL NOT APOLOGIZE, that Muslims have no business building a mosque anywhere near Ground Zero. My reason is valid and SANE. It was Muslims that killed 3,000 people on that site and I am generalizing because every doggone Muslim gets their religious instructions from an Imam, most either residing in the middle east or being tutored from there. The terrorists flying the planes were from the middle east and were Muslims. I don't want to hear that Muslims in the United States are peaceful people. They live by the Quaran (sp). Doesn't it teach them to kill the infidels or people who are not Muslims. The bombing of the Twin Towers took the life of my first cousin and lead to the war in Iraq which took the life of my brother. I take the building of a mosque at Ground Zero personally and consider it smearing their deaths in my face all over again.

If you want to talk about the government stepping in to deny citizens the right to worship where they want, why did you conveniently forget about prayer and Bible reading in schools? Talk to us about the government denying CHRISTIAN students the right to have prayer and Bible reading in schools. At the same time, and in some of the same schools, they provide a room and and time out of classes for Muslims to go say prayers and worship their god. How can you call that the freedom to worship for Christians? YOU tell us which bill of rights apply because you seem to be the only one who knows.
